This is something I was thinking about while reading over some of the stuff in the 3.5 D&D books. Obviously there have been some tiffs and middle grounds when it came to things such as Scribing Scrolls (Trading a Spell slot of a Higher level instead of Experience points), but then there's stuff like the Kensai Powers and their swords.
What do you all think about this? What other classes or Feats require giving up Experience, and do you have suggestions for anything that can be done as an alternative? Just wondering myself, cause there has to be at least some alternative.
What's more, what do you equate giving up Experience for such things as? Where would it maybe make sense?
